Lasergene: System Requirements

To use Lasergene, all desktops must have an Internet connection capable of reaching the BimCore "keyserver" (key.bimcore.emory.edu). If you are behind a firewall or part of a LAN that prevents outgoing access then you will need to contact your local network administrator to allow outgoing and incoming connections on TCP Port 19283. This is necessary to meter use of the software and insure compliance with established license agreements. Home users of Lasergene must also be connected to the Internet to use software. We can accomodate dynamically assigned IP addresses. Static IP assignments are no longer required though they can still be accomodated and existing Lasergene users with static assignments do NOT need to change their setup until it is convenient for them to do so.
