Lasergene: PC Install |

THIS PAGE IS FOR BIMCORE SUBSCRIBERS ONLY!
These are instructions to download the latest version, Lasergene 7.1. Please read and follow the directions thoroughly, as there are some important changes, such as the new keyserver at doc.bimcore.emory.edu (step 1).
You will first need to download the KeyAccess installer.
The KeyAccess software is used to monitor usage of the Lasergene package. It is required if you wish to use Lasergene modules under the BimCore license agreement. (Note to firewall users:If you are behind a firewall (e.g. Norton) or on a LAN which controls incoming and outgoing access you will need to have your local network administrator configure access for TCP Port 19283).
When you click the above download link, you will be prompted to save the file onto your hard drive. Select "Save this program to disk" and press "OK".
A new message box will pop up asking you where you would like to save this file. It is
recommended that you save it to your download directory ("C:\Downloads" or "C:\My Downloads")
or a temporary directory ("C:\temp") so that you can delete it after you've finished the installation.
Choose a directory and press "Save".
Once the download is complete, press "Open" to begin installation.
If the download box closed on completion of the download, then you must goto the directory where you saved
K2Client.exe and double-click it to begin installation.
Now, you will be asked what network configurations to set.
Host DNS Name or IP Address: Make sure this is set to "doc.bimcore.emory.edu".
Protocol: Make sure "Use TCP/IP" is selected.
Store Settings in: Make sure "Registry, shared by all users" is selected.
When you are finished, press "Next".
